Soccer Game Preview: Lincolnton vs. Burns

The Lincolnton Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Burns Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Lincolnton's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three contests.

Burns better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Lincolnton's game on Tuesday is any indication, that's when Lincolnton really gets things going. Wolves blew past Shelby 4-1. Considering Lincolnton have won three games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Burns hadn't done well against Forestview recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs beat the Jaguars by a goal, winning 2-1. The win was familiar territory for Burns, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The victory got Lincolnton back to even at 3-3-1. As for Burns, their win bumped their record up to 5-0-1.
