Baseball Recap: West Valley Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Heritage, West Valley was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Indio Rajahs by a score of 11-7. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Antonio Estrada was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Juarez, who scored a run while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

The win got West Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Indio, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

West Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Cathedral City on the 22nd. As for Indio, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-1 win against Temecula Prep on the 22nd.
