Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jack Allen and Owen Rollinson Lead Hononegah to Victory

Hononegah won the last time they faced Belvidere and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Indians came out on top against the Bucs by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hononegah was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-12.

Hononegah was led to victory by Owen Rollinson and Jack Allen. Rollinson had three digs and two aces, while Allen had five digs and four aces. That's the most aces Allen has posted over his last five contests.

They weren't the only good server: Hononegah was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Hononegah pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Belvidere, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hononegah will take on rival Rockford Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Belvidere is set to face off against their familiar foe Harlem at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
