There's no place like home for Moreau Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Kennedy Titans on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mariners have posted since April 11th.

Drew Perry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Moreau Catholic saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gary Elizarrey, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Moreau Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Kennedy, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
