Soccer Game Preview: Liberty Creek vs. Cheatham County Central

The Liberty Creek Wolves will face off against the Cheatham County Central Cubs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Liberty Creek is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to eight goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Independence Academy on Thursday. They lost 4-1 to the Lions. Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Chayse Manfred, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cheatham County Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against East Robertson by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Cubs' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Liberty Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cheatham County Central, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Everything went Liberty Creek's way against Cheatham County Central in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Liberty Creek made off with a 5-1 victory.
