Softball Game Preview: North Pitt Panthers vs. Holmes Aces

The North Pitt Panthers will challenge the Holmes Aces at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Pitt comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

North Pitt came up short against West Carteret on Tuesday, falling 11-1.

North Pitt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Meeks, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Holmes made easy work of Gates County on Monday and carried off an 11-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Aces in their matchups with the Red Barons: they've now won eight in a row.

Harper Evans was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Ward, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

North Pitt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Holmes, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
