Football Game Preview: Manatee Hurricanes vs. Mitchell Mustangs

The Manatee Hurricanes will face off against the Mitchell Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Manatee's defense has only allowed 6.9 points per game this season, so Mitchell's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Manatee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They breezed past Hollins to the tune of 33-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Hurricanes' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Royals are ranked 413th).

Mitchell played against Palmetto on Monday and won via forfeit.

Mitchell is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.4 points on average over those games. As for Manatee, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
