Soccer Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Memphis School of Excellence Winchester Eagles. That's two games in a row now that Hillcrest have lost by just one goal.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Memphis School of Excellence Winchester, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season.

Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Memphis School of Excellence Winchester, they will square off against Sheffield at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Memphis School of Excellence Winchester have won seven straight at home, while Sheffield won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
