Mount Hope Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed by the Pipestem Christian Academy Panthers to the tune of 62-18.
Mount Hope Christian Academy found their leader in freshman MCKENNA JONES, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. JONES has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. LANDRI FLOHR was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 12 points plus six steals.
Mount Hope Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-21 victory against New Life Christian Academy on the 18th. As for Pipestem Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Greater Beckley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th.
