Softball Recap: Chewelah Takes a Loss

Chewelah lost against Kettle Falls back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars fell 11-7 to the Bulldogs. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tarynn Carlson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Turner, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Chewelah's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Kettle Falls, they moved to 5-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Chewelah by a score of 19-18 later that day.
