Volleyball Recap: Duluth Takes a Loss

Duluth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Dacula Falcons, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-20, 25-4.

Dacula found their leader in sophomore Brianna Ortiz, who had seven digs and two aces. Ortiz has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Duluth's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Dacula, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-13.

Coming up, Duluth will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Brookwood at 5:00 p.m. As for Dacula, they are taking a road trip to take on Discovery at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
