Mount View is 9-1 against River View since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Golden Knights will look to defend their home field against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Mount View's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while River View has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
On Monday, Mount View made easy work of Twin Valley and carried off a 17-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Golden Knights, who have now won five contests by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Blane Sturgell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, Mount View let Hunter Muncy and Jacob Wright run wild. Muncy went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Wright went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most doubles Muncy has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyrece Hughes, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Mount View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. They are undefeated (3-0) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Carvers Bay hit River View with a six-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raiders lost 11-1 to the Bears.
Mount View's victory bumped their record up to 7-5-1. As for River View, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Mount View came out on top in a nail-biter against River View in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. Do the Golden Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
