Basketball Recap: Pleasant View Takes a Loss

Pleasant View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 51-32 bruising from the University Tigers. Pleasant View was down 47-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

University's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from LaTrevius Gant, who posted 13 points and three steals. Gant is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Michael Serino was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Pleasant View's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for University, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Pleasant View wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 80-34 defeat against Soulsville on the 15th. As for University, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-51 loss against Booker T. Washington on the 14th.
