Basketball Recap: Holly Grove Christian's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holly Grove Christian). They strolled past the Chincoteague Ponies with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 43-26. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 29-11 victory the Ponies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Cate Sterling had an outrageously good game as she posted 17 points and four steals. Bethanie Parks was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Holly Grove Christian's win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2. As for Chincoteague, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Holly Grove Christian will take on Arcadia in a holiday battle at 5:00 p.m. on December 16th at. As for Chincoteague, they will square off against Broadwater Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
