Baseball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Elizabeth's Winning Streak

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Elizabeth couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 11-6 to the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers on Saturday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Cardinals, who until this match were averaging 3.24 runs allowed.

Owen Moons was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Cade Taylor was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
