Volleyball Recap: Gregory-Portland Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Gregory-Portland had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors & Cherokees apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Gregory-Portland couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 21-25, 26-24, 26-24.

Looking ahead, Gregory-Portland will be taking part in a tournament against Rio Grande City at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tuloso-Midway, they will square off against Canton at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
