Mountain Ridge waltzed into their match on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They skirted past the Liberty Lions 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Mountain Lions: when they faced off against the Lions back in March, they had to take a 9-3 defeat.

Mountain Ridge got a great performance from Jaggar Wethington as he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Joe Forbes was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Coby Neville was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Mountain Ridge now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Liberty, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8.

Mountain Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Gila Ridge on the 17th. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-5 win against Boulder Creek on the 17th.
