After a string of four wins, Escondido Charter's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Escondido Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Escondido Charter ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19.

OLIVE JOHNSON paced Escondido Charter's offense, picking up four kills. JOHNSON really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. MACKENZIE HARLAN controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
