Soccer Recap: Verona's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Verona was riding high fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Pope John XXIII last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hillbillies took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions on Thursday. The loss was Verona's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Verona fell to 4-1. As for Mount St. Dominic Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Looking ahead, Verona will head out on the road to face off against Belvidere at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mount St. Dominic Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Tenafly at 10:00 a.m.
