Baseball Recap: Cumberland Clippers vs. East Providence Townies
Cumberland faced East Providence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Clippers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Townies. That's more bragging rights for the Clippers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cumberland let Tyler Hurteau and Josh Lyon run wild. Hurteau got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Lyon went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Those three hits gave Lyon a new career-high.
