Volleyball Recap: Licking Heights Comes Up Short

Licking Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Wolves when the teams met back in May of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Licking Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Worthington Kilbourne, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-6.

Licking Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Reynoldsburg on the 9th. As for Worthington Kilbourne, they will head out on the road to square off against Hilliard Bradley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
