Recap: Noble Bears vs. Midwest City Bombers

After flying high against the Altus Bulldogs last Friday, The Noble Bears came back down to earth. Noble took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Midwest City on Friday. Noble has struggled against Midwest City recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Noble still got an impressive performance from Joseph Bear, who threw for 391 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

Jahhim Mahmoud had a dynamite game for Midwest City, rushing for 236 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenneth Colston, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.

Noble's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Midwest City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Noble will head out on the road to face off against MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. MacArthur will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Midwest City will take on Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Elgin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Midwest City likes a good challenge.
