Basketball Recap: Turner's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Turner had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.3 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They managed a 45-39 win over the Maysville Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 44-43 last Monday.

Turner pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Maysville, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.

The future could be bright for both Turner and Maysville: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Turner will try to hand Wayne their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Maysville will look to extend Springer's six-game losing streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
