Basketball Recap: Broomfield Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Broomfield won the last time they faced Holy Family and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Broomfield Eagles walked away with a 71-63 victory over the Holy Family Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Broomfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Lapham led the charge by going 5-for-7 on his way to 20 points and six rebounds. What's more, Lapham also posted a 71% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Jack Wadlington was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 11 assists.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Schott, who went 5-for-8 en route to 14 points along with seven assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Roman Elliott, who posted 16 points and six assists.

Broomfield's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points over those games. As for Holy Family, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Broomfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-64 victory against Legacy on the 14th. As for Holy Family, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-48 win against Skyline on the 14th.
