Basketball Recap: Kingsland's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Kingsland lost against Rushford-Peterson back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kingsland Knights received a blow as they fell 70-54 to the Rushford-Peterson Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Trojans are ranked 70th).

The loss snapped Kingsland's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-11 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Rushford-Peterson, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Kingsland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rushford-Peterson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-61 victory against Southland on the 8th.
