Football Recap: Erie Tigers vs. Rangeview Raiders
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Erie). They breezed by the Rangeview Raiders at home to the tune of 49-6 on Friday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 28 points or more this season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Erie was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 325 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rangeview only rushed for 27.
The win (which was Erie's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. As for Rangeview, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Erie will challenge Vista PEAK Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Tyrone Smiley and Gavin Lusk. As for Rangeview, they will take on Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Horizon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.4 points per game this season.
