Basketball Recap: Rocky Mount Academy Comes Up Short

Rocky Mount Academy lost against Fayetteville Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rocky Mount Academy Eagles took a blow against the Fayetteville Academy Eagles, falling 85-40. While losing is never fun, Rocky Mount Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while Fayetteville Academy is ranked 108th).

Rocky Mount Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Fayetteville Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Kerr-Vance Academy the next time they take the court. Fayetteville Academy will head out to face Kerr-Vance Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Rocky Mount Academy will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
