Basketball Game Preview: Petersburg Crimson Wave vs. Prince George Royals

Petersburg is 9-1 against Prince George since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Petersburg Crimson Wave just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Prince George Royals at 7:15 p.m. Petersburg has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 208 points over their last three games.

On Monday, Petersburg was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to Heritage.

Despite their defeat, Petersburg saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Arkell Crenshaw, who went 9 of 13 on his way to 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. The match was Crenshaw's third in a row with at least ten points. Nylan Robinson was another key player, putting up 15 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Prince George came up short against Matoaca on Friday and fell 53-43. The Royals have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Petersburg's record now sits at 5-8. As for Prince George, their record is now 1-12.

Petersburg strolled past Prince George in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 73-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Petersburg since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
