Baseball Game Preview: Maret Frogs vs. Potomac School Panthers

For the first time this season, Maret will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will be playing at home against the Potomac School Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Maret will be strutting in after a victory while Potomac School will be coming in after a defeat.

Maret was handed a eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes, sneaking past 9-8.

Isiah Williams made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Williams was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, JT Van Geertryden was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jack Spector, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Potomac School had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop O'Connell on Friday.

Wyatt Pence made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run.
