Volleyball Recap: Pittsfield Comes Up Short

If Pittsfield was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Drury on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Generals lost 3-0 to the Chicopee Comp Colts on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15, 25-15.

Shyanne Mungin paced Pittsfield's offense, picking up three kills. Mungin got some help from Isabella Baltazar and her seven assists. Hannah Burtt and Isabelle Nkrumah kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Pittsfield now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Chicopee Comp, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Pittsfield will venture away from home to square off against Wahconah Regional at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chicopee Comp, they will host Holyoke at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
