The Northeastern Bobcats will take on the Central York Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northeastern will be strutting in after a victory while Central York will be coming in after a loss.
Northeastern was handed a seven-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against South Western, sneaking past 8-6. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Drew Barshinger tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Northeastern is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-5 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Brandon Charleston was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ryan Wilson, who went 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Central York fell victim to Dallastown and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.
Jacob Laughman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.
Northeastern's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Central York, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Everything went Northeastern's way against Central York in their previous meeting on April 2nd, as Northeastern made off with a 15-9 victory. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
