Softball Game Preview: Carson Senators vs. McQueen Lancers

Carson hasn't had much luck against McQueen recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Senators will take on the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. Carson has given up an average of 10.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Carson heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Tuesday. They lost 18-2 to Spanish Springs. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Senators couldn't push the score so high this time.

Carson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Brubaker, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, McQueen faced Douglas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Lancers fell 10-7 to the Tigers.

McQueen got a massive performance out of Graycee Diaz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Guber, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

McQueen's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Carson, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.

Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Carson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. However, it's not like McQueen struggles in that department as they've averaged .385. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
