Basketball Recap: Kaitlin Cooper's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Meadow Bridge over Man

Meadow Bridge was the 61-40 winner over Man when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Meadow Bridge Wildcats fell to the Man Hillbillies 44-40. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Meadow Bridge lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaitlin Cooper, who posted 11 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kierston Rozell, who scored seven points and four steals.

Even though they lost, Meadow Bridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Meadow Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Man, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Meadow Bridge will challenge Richwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Man does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
