Soccer Game Preview: Arapahoe vs. Denver South

The Arapahoe Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Denver South Ravens at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Arapahoe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Cherry Creek, who was ranked first at the time (Arapahoe was ranked 20th). The Warriors fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Arapahoe couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Denver South had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They never let the Bison get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Denver South might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

Denver South pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for Arapahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3-1.
