Baseball Recap: Bel Air Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Bel Air's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Americas Trail Blazers on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Highlanders of the 15-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2019.

Bel Air got a good showing from Gavin Martinez, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Martinez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single walk in four consecutive appearances.

Bel Air has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12-1 record this season. As for Americas, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

While Bel Air had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
