Football Recap: Marshfield Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Marshfield extended their postseason success on Friday against La Grande. They walked away with a 33-21 victory over the Tigers. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Marshfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Enoch Niblett, who threw for 293 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Those 293 passing yards gave Niblett a new career-high. Jaden Tice was in the mix too, providing Marshfield with two TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Marshfield's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Landon Hood and Asher Farnam certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hood gained 118 total yards, while Farnam rushed for 50 yards and one score.

The win was the third in a row for Marshfield, bringing their record up to 10-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points over those games. As for La Grande, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Marshfield will welcome Henley at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Hornets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. La Grande does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
