Softball Recap: Flour Bluff's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Flour Bluff waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Alice Coyotes 17-7. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Addison Mayo, who fired off three home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Abitz, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Flour Bluff was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .439. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Flour Bluff's record is now 14-5. As for Alice, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Flour Bluff and Alice will both be playing Gregory-Portland the next time they take the field. Alice will head out to face Gregory-Portland at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Flour Bluff will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
