Softball Recap: St. Mary Central Catholic Comes Up Short

St. Mary Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks, falling 13-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 20-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

St. Mary Central Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Woodruff, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

St. Mary Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for St. Joseph Central Catholic, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

St. Mary Central Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-0 loss against Calvert on the 7th. As for St. Joseph Central Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 20-19 win against Danbury on the 9th.
