Volleyball Recap: Algonquin Regional Has No Trouble Against Medway

Algonquin Regional had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Medway on Thursday. The Titans blew past the Mustangs 3-0.

Algonquin Regional never let Medway on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-21, 25-23.

Tessa Novello paced Algonquin Regional's offense, picking up seven kills. Novello got some help from CarolAnn Smith and her 20 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Algonquin Regional's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Medway, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Algonquin Regional wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Groton-Dunstable on the 17th. As for Medway, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Millis on the 20th.
