Recap: Lamar Texans vs. Bellaire Cardinals

After a string of three wins, the Lamar Texans's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were beaten by Bellaire 80-45. Lamar has not had much luck with Bellaire recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Lamar lost, one person who can't be blamed is Phoenix Sneed. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Keaton Cravens, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bellaire to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sarah Gregory, who scored 20 points along with seven assists and two steals. Gregory has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Angelina Turner was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Bellaire, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Lamar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bellaire also has no future games currently scheduled.
