Basketball Recap: Thomas A. Edison Triumphs

Thomas A. Edison lost to Strawberry Mansion back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Owls skirted past the Knights 43-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Owls.

Among those leading the charge was Ishmael Azzaam, who posted 13 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Those 13 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmir Ponder, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 16 points.

Thomas A. Edison's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Strawberry Mansion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Thomas A. Edison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-68 victory against Philadelphia Academy Charter on the 11th. As for Strawberry Mansion, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-22 loss against Kensington on the 11th.
