Baseball Recap: Abbeville Wildcats vs. Opelousas Tigers
Abbeville took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Opelousas, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Abbeville Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Opelousas Tigers 26-25 on Wednesday. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 10 runs per game.
Braylon Himel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Those two earned runs gave him a new career-low. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Abbeville let Trendon Campbell and Jacob Dugas run wild.
