Baseball Recap: Salisbury Christian Takes a Loss

Salisbury Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chincoteague Ponies. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Salisbury Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Chincoteague, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season.

Salisbury Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Chestertown Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chincoteague, they will square off against Broadwater Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Ponies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
