Softball Recap: Washington Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Washington was forced to take a big defeat against they on Monday, they got the better of them on Monday. They blew past the Wyandotte Bulldogs 11-3. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on Monday, they had to take a 16-3 loss.

The team relied heavily on Janiah Anthony, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Scarlet Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Washington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Washington's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. As for Wyandotte, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Washington and Wyandotte will both be playing Atchison the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Phoenix at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on May 1.
