Softball Recap: Collinsville Finds Home Field Redemption Against Dodd City

There's no place like home for Collinsville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Dodd City Hornets on Tuesday as the Collinsville Pirates made off with a 13-0 victory.

Hailey Germany was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Rilee Stewart, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Collinsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dodd City only posted a batting average of .200.

The win got Collinsville back to even at 1-1. As for Dodd City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Collinsville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-0 defeat against Farmersville on the 27th. Dodd City will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sam Rayburn at 5:30 p.m. on March 7th.
