Volleyball Recap: Needville Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Needville had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Episcopal on Tuesday. The Bluejays put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Bluejays as they're now sitting on three straight.

Needville walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.

Needville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kelsey Chumchal led the charge by getting eight digs and four aces. What's more, Chumchal racked up 20 assists, the most she's had over her last 18 matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzi Griffin, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Needville's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Episcopal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8-1.

Coming up, Needville is taking a road trip to square off against Fort Bend Dulles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Episcopal, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fort Bend Christian Academy at 4:45 p.m.
