Football Game Recap: Keene Chargers vs. Johnson County Sports Association Lions

The Keene Chargers were the 68-40 winner over the Johnson County Sports Association Lions when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Keene was beaten by Johnson County Sports Association 58-13 on Thursday. Keene has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Johnson County Sports Association got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Athan Reeves out in front who picked up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Gael Montes de Oca, who gained 122 total yards and two touchdowns.

Keene's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Johnson County Sports Association, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.

Keene will square off against Ranger at 0:00 a.m. on Friday. Ranger is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Johnson County Sports Association will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Eagle Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Eagle Christian Academy is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
