Baseball Recap: St. Elizabeth Wins Going Away Against Vienna

St. Elizabeth's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Vienna Eagles. Considering the Hornets have won four games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Sam Luetkemeyer, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Blake Wobbe also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

St. Elizabeth now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Vienna, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Elizabeth will challenge Prairie Home at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up.
