Barron Collier proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 16) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Gulf Coast, sneaking past 4-2.

Barron Collier's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Khayden Collier, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, North Port didn't have quite enough to beat Hardee on Friday and fell 2-1. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Barron Collier pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for North Port, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
