Basketball Recap: Central Decatur Skates Past East Union with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Decatur). They claimed a resounding 58-26 win over the East Union Eagles. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Central Decatur pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for East Union, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Central Decatur Cardinals face off against the Lenox Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Union, they will head out on the road to take on Martensdale-St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
